Kat and Erin’s wedding was one of the many covid-casualties. Residing in Melbourne but originally from Adelaide, the two were unable to travel and were in Melbourne’s extraordinary lockdown leaving their wedding to be rescheduled - was it 5 times?! Too many times. Although it felt like set-back after let down after reschedule they were able to keep all of their original suppliers including the effervescent Lauren the Celebrant who began the day by setting the tone of the collective love, admiration and loyalty each and every person there, suppliers and guests, felt for Kathryn and Erin.
The pair began their day’s preparations slow at the Adelaide Hills Retreats The Nest and Villa Lemoni in Balhannah with their Wedding crew. Their Ceremony and Cocktail Reception styled by Keira Blanden was lush with florals in whites, pinks and fuchsias and after a wet Spring thanks to La Niña the sun came out to decorate the day with spicy light; the sky blue with fairytale clouds scattered throughout.
The pair danced the night away to All About Her’s band playing through the evening, the cannoli cart surprised guests for a cheeky surprise dessert at 9pm before the DJ took over to bring the party home. The collective bond the guests and suppliers carried throughout the day and into the night, it felt like one big love fest with no dividing lines, there were no sides, just family. Kat and Erin are completely surrounded by love and loyalty, a testament to them and their resilience. After more than a decade together, a large handful of covid-postponements, the wedding gods blessed them with a spectacular wedding.
